This course presents the Bible as the Word of God and the ultimate authority for Christian belief, behavior, and ministry. Students will explore the inspiration, inerrancy, scope, and power of Scripture, learning how to study, interpret, and apply the Word rightly.
Through biblical teaching and guided reflection, participants will develop a disciplined approach to Scripture that guards against error, strengthens faith, and equips them for effective service. Emphasis is placed on understanding the whole counsel of God, testing spiritual experiences by Scripture, and allowing the Word to shape character, conviction, and calling.
This course serves as the entry point for all students of Kingdom Nations College and lays the groundwork for every other area of study.
This is a foundational course designed to present the Bible as the Word of God and ultimate guide of Christian behaviour in all areas of life. It is like no other book ever written on planet earth. The very first segment of what now constitutes the Word of God was actually dictated by God - Exodus 20:1–21. The Holy Bible, which is the final form in which the Word of God is preserved, is the final authority for personal life and ministry. It is the basis of sound doctrine for instructing the saints and should offer the final word that settles every dispute or theological argument. In 2 Timothy 2:15 a very true minister of the gospel is enjoined to study the word in order to gain divine approval and the capacity to serve sound doctrine rather than subjective perspectives to people. To claim the status of a minister of the gospel and yet manifest a disdain for diligent study and application of scripture is simply anathema.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
Affirm the Bible as the inspired, authoritative Word of God
Explain the inspiration and inerrancy of Scripture
Identify the structure and scope of the Old and New Testaments
Practice biblical study principles: reading, meditation, application, and faith
Discern biblical truth from extra-biblical and unbiblical teachings
Apply Scripture to daily life, ministry, and spiritual warfare
